NumNum GooTensils are the first step on the road to independent use of cutlery, and probably the strangest looking spoons in the world! Completely flat, no proper way to hold them, no rules! For better building of neural connections in the brains, for strengthening self-esteem and independence in eating, for greater curiosity about the world.

NumNum is a brand created by parents whose child could not cope with the successive models of spoons tested at the table. Recognition of the little cutlery tester was gained only by the original design created by Doug and Jessica. This is how the introductory spoon was created - in two models - for the first and second stages of the road to independent eating.

The level I introductory spoon allows you to take a very small amount of food. The child is able to taste the food on its own (self-feeding effect), while not being frustrated by not being able to bring the food to the mouth. From the parent's point of view, this also means less mess. Special tabs will help relieve gum pain associated with teething. Using a Level I spoon, the baby gets used to the proper position of holding cutlery. Once the basic food-buzz movement is mastered, Level II, holding more product, can be introduced. The Stage II spoon has a hole in the head, using surface tension to scoop and hold food on the surface of the cutlery.

The set includes two teaspoons: a Stage I introductory spoon and a Stage II introductory spoon.

In order to fully safely use GOOtensils NumNum pre-teaspoons, a baby must sit up and hold his head independently. There are times when interest in eating occurs as early as 6 months of age, but most toddlers are ready for the pre spoon between 10 and 14 months of age.
