Wobbel is a manufacturer of fantastic wooden balance boards. The toy for young and old was invented by the brand's founders, Hannelore Blaauw and Wouter Haine. These two Dutchmen have launched a simple, designer board that wins the hearts of children, gives them loads of fun, and on top of that perfectly stimulates psychomotor development.

As the founders of the Wobbel brand admit, the idea for the balance board is related to Waldorf pedagogy. The premise of fostering all-around child development and the belief in learning through hands-on activities are reflected in the now iconic Wobbel toys. The boards' simple design gives virtually unlimited possibilities for its use. The board allows you to practice balance, and balancing teaches coordination and concentration. Playing on the board is an ideal exercise for younger and older children, it develops individual muscle groups - depending on which way of rocking the child chooses during play.

Wobbel is not just an exercise device - the curved shape of the board makes it playable in hundreds of ways. Wouter Haine, co-founder of the brand, recalls his own daughter's reaction to the prototype board: No explanations, no hints, no clues. In ten minutes she came up with twenty new ways to play with the board, at one point making it into a comfortable lounge chair.

The makers of the brand have taken care not only of the great look of the boards, but also of the quality of their workmanship. Each toy is made from multiple layers of the finest European beech wood (FSC), which are pressed under high pressure during production to achieve the perfect curvature. The brand offers its boards in a selection of color options, in natural or with additional elements (felt, cork).
